On April 8, 2015, I bought my first house. It’s a magical house. We have been so happy here. I love the neighborhood. I just attended an “avocado harvest” party in a neighbor’s backyard, picking all the fruit we could from the ginormous tree, chatting for hours with neighbors, taking home large bags of fresh avocados. Every year in November I declare my own “persimageddon,” and I invite all my neighbors to take all the persimmon fruit they can from my own over-large tree, and then I encourage them to take even more.
