Morgana’s Adventures in Eurasia: Georgia on my mind

I’m on a tour of Georgia (the country), Armenia, and Azerbaijan. Different from anywhere I’ve been before. It’s such an odd experience–not quite Europe, not quite Asia, not quite the Middle East, but a blend of cultures and the unique character of each country… First let’s start with Georgia:
The national symbol is grapes. Archeologists believe that wine was first invented in Georgia,several thousand years ago. Georgian wine is produced differently (and tastes different) than any other wine in the world, and is prized among wine enthusiasts.
The food is delicious, and organic. Georgia does not use pesticides or GMOs.
Colchis, in Western Georgia, was where Jason and the Argonauts captured the Golden Fleece (in the Odyssey), and where Jason married the princess/healer Medea.
The people are warm, friendly, and love Americans.
