How Do You Make Your New Relationship with Money Last?
A reader sent in this awesome question:
“Is it really possible to create a lasting change with my relationship to money? I’ve tried so many things but always go back to the same fearful thinking and immature behavior with money.”
The answer is yes, but it’s not automatic.
Cause it’s not enough to get married, say I love you, and be set for life, right?
There’s the day to day relationship stuff.
Same thing with your new relationship with money. Once you’ve changed your relationship, that’s when the real work begins.

I agree, wholeheartedly, that wealth consciousness is not an event.
But instead of comparing it to a relationship to another person, I’d rather compare it to being an upstanding, righteous human being by observing and honoring the commandments: prosperity has also ten commandments, that is not enough to know about, not enough to go to services once a week: they are a way of life, a lifestyle, like being a vegan or being a non-smoker. Invisible yet always there.
The best book I have read on money, so far, is Daniel Lipin’s book, and I have summarized that on my blog, because writing both teaches me and maybe helps others. The book teaches the same through the thousands of years of Jewish financial success and the secret ten commandments.
If that works for you, go for it!
That approach wouldn’t address the underlying root issues–which really aren’t about money–that cause problems for my clients. But it sounds like a good tool.
Hi,
This idea is amazingly delicious! Like honey 🙂
I am a strategic intervention coach and have many clients who say to me “thats a great idea, but I keep forgetting to do it. My intentions are good but life is busy and I will go days without checking in with my intendedbhabit. What do I do?”
My suggestion for those that struggle with remembering is to pick a time of day when you know you usually have some quiet time. Before dinner, after lunch, before bed etc. Then set the alarm on your phone or tablet or even your watch to go off at that time daily to remind you to check in with your new positive habit.
good luck everyone, and thank you Morgana!
Laurie
Great tip, Laurie!
Thank you Morgana for this tip. I’ll give it a shot. Never thought of approaching it that way.
Have a great time with both your money honey and your love honey!!
Morgana, I bought your course and truly loved it. I worked on my bringing out my Money Monster for almost a whole day. I sketched him, I covered him in words that described him. When I felt ready I sat quietly and read those words out loud to myself. Some gave me sharp shooting pains in my chest. I knew I had hit the core of my Money Monster feelings. I told my Money Monster I didnt want him in my life anymore. I took my sketch and I sat in the garden and watched my Money Monster burn. Then I scooped up any ash left and blew him into the wind. If he tries to come back into my life and I catch him I say “I havent changed my mind – I dont want you in my life anymore” (just like I did with a real break up once).
Immediately, I started to build my relationship with my Money Honey. My commitment/validation was to sort out some bank charge queries the next day – which I did and I will be receiving a credit for overcharges to my account. My MH told me to buy a ring. We went out together and I chose a Mood ring from local fairy shop. It didnt matter what the ring was. We are going to replace it with diamonds one day. 🙂 In the meantime I am working on improving my relationship with my MH and my new “Commitment Ring” helps to remind me and stay on track and to remember to love and communicate with my Money Honey.
By sharing here I’m hoping that my story will help others with their relationship with thier money honey. Thank you Morgana. with sincere Gratitude … Julie
That’s wonderful, Julie! Thank you so much for sharing.
Hello Morgana,
Thank you for your videos! What I’d like solve it’s something related nice but strange.
It’s happening that when I work with relationship with money, it happens that I receive money from other people close to me, like support, but not (or very little) from my business. Then I go back to zero, work on money relationship and again a support arrive.
I want to be able to receive it from my own income and eventually return the support to these people!
Have you any suggestion?
Thank you for all, hugs!
Hi Stefania. What does your Money Honey have to say about this?
🙂 He is a surfer, he said “The more that come, the best”. I think I can share more of my deepest feeling with him. I think I am ok in receiving, but I really want to return and contribute.
I like to call my MH my Prosperity Prince! Like my prince charming :). And my money monster, the prosperity playboy. The playboy doesn’t stick around and my Prosperity Prince is always here for me. I just started this practice, Morgana and you’re right. It has a direct correlation with relationships, mostly from your childhood. That’s what I’ve gathered so far.
Really enjoy your work. Thank you!
