An Embalmer and an Entrepreneur walk into a Wedding Chapel
An Embalmer and an Entrepreneur walk into a wedding chapel… what happens next?
Making love and marriage last in a crazy world. The secret sauce.
How NOT to let business success tank your love life.
One of the dirty little secrets in my industry is broken marriages is pretty much the norm among my thought leader peers. Not every one, sure, but for most of the best known gurus in personal development, e-commerce, business coaching, leaders in so many industries… the the life partner they built their empire with is not the person they’re with today.
Perhaps we underestimate how much big success stresses a relationship. A huge influx of money does NOT save a marriage from the cracks that can appear when dynamics shift. (Like the client whose life partner of many years split when she came into her 8-figure fortune.)
When money drives love away, it’s a monster.
Which brings us to the entrepreneur and the embalmer... One of the exceptions to this pattern of romantic failure has been my friend Steve Olsher (the entrepreneur) and his wife Lena Bravo-Olsher (the embalmer), who got married in 1997. Like many of our peers Steve has built his multi 7-figure empire, has his thought leader fan base… and I’ve been really curious how Steve and Lena have made their love work for 23 years while most of our friends have called it quits.
Devin and I interviewed Steve Olsher and Lena Bravo-Olsher on beating the odds in love and money.
