I noticed I was having the same conversation with a couple of clients who were going through a dark place, and thought I should share this information with anyone who’s feeling the end of year/dark of winter/holiday/heartbreak or discouragement blues. This may surprise and hearten you. And if you have a friend who’s in a dark place today, please send your friend here. Namaste. Continue reading

Self care is not all bubble baths, scented candles, and walks on the beach. Today it’s buying myself a fricking hearing aid to keep that part of my brain active and healthy. Keeping it real. Continue reading
My experience, definition, and understanding of Love have undergone a dramatic transformation over the last couple of years.
For most of my life love was about what I could get. I think that’s normal for youth.
My 50th birthday should have come with a warning sign saying, “Now we start killing and removing what you love.”
This sounds harsh and horrible… but it’s actually been a profoundly beautiful experience of appreciation, service, and surrender.s
I don’t regret this experience. In fact I’m grateful for it. Continue reading
I had a wonderful coaching session this week with an Abundance Day client. In one session my client killed her Money Monster 3 TIMES before she really got rid of it. My job is to keep the process going until the monster is really gone. Each time I’d ask, “Is it gone?” she’d find a little bit of monster left. One of the greatest services we can do to another human being is to witness and validate a person’s experience with full respect. I find that once a person feels fully heard and understood, that’s when space opens up to ask something like, ‘do you want to let this experience win, or are … Continue reading
Friday I left a voice message for my estranged mother to tell her I love and appreciate her. It took me four tries to build up the courage to speak to her answering machine. This is my first communication to her in over a decade. I told her that if she was open to it, I’d love to come by and give her a kiss goodbye before she moves across the country. Maybe even introduce her to my husband. And if she’s not open, that’s perfectly okay, too. I love her and wish her every happiness. She … Continue reading
Question came in from a reader: “I am hurting and need a permanent solution. Life is bruising and cutting me down Life is giving me a tough time. School is a challenge. I can’t seem to get over how difficult somethings are. How can I better my life at school, get essays done? Get A’s and keep them? I even wonder if I am on any path to success. besides constantly seeing my best efforts being cut down in the bud. I try my best, but to frankly I feel like crap, dumb, and stupid. Is there a ritual, spirit … Continue reading
