You do not have to be perfect.
Yup. It’s time for another rant: You do NOT have to be perfect, free from fear/doubt/wounds/negativity to be a totally bad ass manifester who gets to enjoy a freaking bounty of health, wealth, love, and happiness.
You get to be all of you and use all of you.
In fact, the more love, compassion and understanding you can have for your “ugly” bits–the rage monster, the privileged princess, the liar, the slob, the victim, the loser, the outcast–the less you become slowed down by war with yourself, and the more you discover that even your problem parts have wisdom, gifts and magic of their own.
Even when you are feeling uncomfortable in the world (hello 2020) or in your own skin, you get to be magical and USE the challenge to create your next level in personal power and life creation. This is what we signed up for.
This is the secret of Alchemy: the lead we despise is the key to the gold we desire. The parts you hate the most need your love and understanding the most: they have the biggest gift for you.
Even your “money monster”–the repository of all all your worst life experiences of lack, limitation, and hurt–serves as a PORTAL to abundance and prosperity:
- The client who grew up in poverty in Peru, with a terrible relationship money, and she was struggling to launch her career when she contacted me… and she is now Founder & CEO of Latino Wall Street and a member of the Forbes Finance Council.
- The client who tapped her own medical trauma experience as the catalyst for teaching medical schools and New York City emergency room doctors how to be better doctors while processing their own traumas. And she set her own medical trauma to verse and became a TEDx speaker/poet. This year she launched the “Black Exhale” restorative healing gathering to release collective Black trauma that contributes to disease.
- The client who slayed another Money Monster last week and says she’s on track to make even more money (and enjoy a sweeter connection with her human honey husband) than ever before. A world of difference from when she went with me to Bali 2 years ago…
I’m sharing these examples because there is so much well-intentioned nonsense floating around designed to make you fear difficult feelings… as if you’ll be punished for “low vibrations.” I say feel the feelings and USE them to create something amazing. (Newsflash: I’ve manifested some of the BEST freaking outcomes of my life when I was in the deepest pit of ick.)
So many of my magical/spiritual/personal development guru friends only teach “high vibration” manifestation, when so much more of your creative power is available to you when you stop rejecting yourself and instead embrace your whole self and your whole life experience.
But don’t just take my word for it: I lined up 13th century mystical poet Rumi to back me up:
The Guest House, by Rumi
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness
comes as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice.
Meet them at the door laughing and invite them in.
Be grateful for whatever comes.
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
~ Jellaludin Rumi,
