What to do when everything’s a mess
Feeling stressed lately? You’re not alone!
The world has been feeling CRAZY. (Don’t get me wrong: my life is great.) But come on… haven’t you noticed challenges coming up a mile a minute this summer?
Not just for you, but all around you, too?
Delays, frustrations, and obstacles, oh my!
The world WILL go crazy. It’s supposed to. Our job is to find a way to return to the calm center of the storm, right?
When it all gets too much and I feel like I’m losing my grip, here’s what I do:
(This video is easier to hear with headphones.)
So, my life feels like it’s just been one long game of Whack-A-Mole.
One thing after another, just crazy delays. And even after my astrologer said certain things were gonna be great this year, it’s been crazy, insane, unnecessary obstacles with millions of dollars at stake and one thing and then other things, little things, like trying to get my computer repaired for the last month. Still hasn’t happened. Covered by warranty. Trying to get my house clean for the last month. My housekeeper has just rescheduled again and God bless her, she’s going through her own stuff. Real estate stuff, business stuff, money stuff, political stuff, health stuff. (I’ve been trying to book an appointment with the dermatologist since January.)
So, yeah, Whack-A-Mole, crazy delays. And so, guess what? Computer’s not getting fixed today, house is not getting cleaned today, appointments are not happening today, and this is what I do: I go to the beach.
That is my solution to everything. Nothing cannot be made better by putting on a bathing suit, not caring what your body looks like, and just getting into ocean water.
And what I love about being here, it’s so family friendly. It’s not a scene and even if it is, I think I’m beyond caring.
So, yeah, really, there’s nothing, nothing in the world that can’t be made better by getting into the water. That is my tip when everything else is a mess. And that’s it for now, ’cause I have to swim, if I can figure out how to turn this off. Ah, there we go.
PS. If you don’t have a beach nearby, hug a tree. Pet a dog. Get out of your head and into nature, into your body. It’s free therapy. That’s where you’ll return to sanity, to resourcefulness, and to your best responses to whatever life throws your way!

Those kind of days happen, Morgana, when plans go awry and trying to make things work only exacerbates the situation and nothing much is achieved. Funny thing, I had a similar day yesterday and finally decided to step away and go for a walk with my dog, Miss Coco. 30 minutes later, the world hadn’t changed but I was more peaceful with a plan to do only stuff that really had to be done and let go of the rest.
Turned out the day wasn’t as bad as it seemed once I let go and went with the flow.
It might get better after August 18, when Mercury retrograde is over.
