It’s my first morning in Bali…

My house in Ubud (Bali) for August 2011

It’s my first morning in Bali. Roosters are crowing, dogs are barking, and dawn is breaking. I’ve been awake for about an hour. I’m suddenly really hungry!
It gets chilly at night. Thank god! I was worried it’d get too hot to sleep here. I wish I could get my own bedroom at home this cool.
We need to pick up blankets for the beds. Right now we only have sheets.
My host and I are the first people to stay here, so we’re seeing what needs to be added: hangers, waste baskets, kitchen cabinetry, common area furniture, art, Internet…
I may need to find a place in town for Internet! (I have a group coaching call for my Financial Alchemy Academy on August 23.)
What’s already here that works really well:
Our house looks out onto fields of rice paddies in one direction, and onto the most beautiful swimming pool in another.
There are fresh, garden grown bananas, pineapples and papayas in the kitchen.
A sweet dog who runs in the rice fields stopped by the house to say “hi” last night. 🙂
It’s only five in the morning, but I’m tempted to put on my shoes and walk into town already.
My first orders of “business” in Bali are
1) Learn to ride a motorcycle
2) Contact friends
3) Find a location suitable for a one on one coaching “VIP Day” with a client
4) Take eyeglasses and infant clothing to clinic
