Today is the last day of the Chinese year of the Wood Snake. Snakes shed. The lesson of the last year was letting go. I’ll be 59 in two months, and I just learned how to do a neck dip in dance class last week. Now it’s my favorite thing. We’re coming out of a big solar eclipse this weekend after the massive lunar eclipse two weeks ago. My astrologer bestie says that eclipses, being sudden and dramatic light-blockers, are traditionally understood to be astrological trouble-makers for earthlings.
